Logitech® Mini Boombox
If you are looking for a portable solution for a small and yet powerful speaker, to listen to your favourite tunes from your smartphones, or a hands-free speaker wireless speakerphone kit, check out the Logitech Mini Boombox.
With a battery life of up to 10 hours (depending on usage), it pairs up easily with your Android™ or Apple® iPhone®, iPad®, other smartphones, tablets, or any other device that supports Bluetooth® wireless Audio Profile (A2DP – Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) ~ But you can only pair it with one device at any one time.
You can also connect your audio player to the Logitech Mini Boombox via its auxiliary input at the back.
Charging is easily done over USB, so you do not have to worry about replacing its batteries.
The Logitech button on the front of the unit acts as an indicator for its operation mode or battery level warnings.
On the top of the unit, when you power on the unit, can see six touch sensitive buttons for its Touch controls (Track Control, Play/Pause, Volume, and Call Controls). The backlight for the Touch controls disappears after a while, but once you tap the center of this panel, the backlight is lighted again.
You can skip/forward tracks on it, which lets it double as a remote control for your smartphones!
You can also use it as a Bluetooth speakerphone with a built-in noise cancellation microphone, and you can even answer calls on it.
Great for using it in a car as a hands-free kit replacement too, since you do not need to power it externally, you can place it anywhere in the car.
How does it sound?
For a small little speaker, it sounds large.
However, when played too loud, there is an audible distortion (or maybe its caused by the unit resonating by certain frequencies). There is no indication on the unit for volume level, it could be hard to “see” what is our volume setting.
You can use the Logitech Mini Boombox at your outdoor barbeques or even at work, in a board room for your conference calls between your local team of people and the other party in another location.
However, since the level could get loud without volume level indication on the unit, you might want to be slightly careful when you use it as a bluetooth speakerphone in public places (unless you want the whole world to hear your conversation!)
The Logitech Mini Boombox is available in Singapore at Challenger outlets, iStudio, Epicentre and all authorised Logitech resellers at a suggested retail price of S$109
