Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World is a dark comedy, a directorial debut of screenwriter Lorene Scafaria.

After hearing the announcement that the World will come to an end due to an oncoming Asteroid, a man Dodge (played by Golden Globe Award winner, Steve Carell) finds himself alone after his wife, Linda (played by Carell‘s real life wife, Nancy) leaves him to spend her last days with the man she actually loves.

Dodge decides to take a road trip to reunite with his high school sweetheart, Olivia. Accompanying him is his neighbour Penny (played by Academy Award nominee, Keira Knightley).

Set in a (not too) near future, the movie explores what people will do when humanity’s last days are at hand.
